![]() ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2009 The Annual General Meeting of Llandinam Village Hall will take place on Saturday April 4th. The Hall will open fora coffee morning at 10.30am and there will be a number of stalls depicting village activities. The AGM will start at 11.30am. All nomination forms for trustees need to be handed in by 11am. CALOR VILLAGE OF THE YEAR SUCCESS! Llandinam won the People category for Mid Wales in Calor's Village of the Year competition. The other Mid Wales winners were Knighton and Lampeter (neither of whom are really villages!). "We are enormously pleased that we have won this award. I'm particularly pleased that it was in the most important category of all - people!" said Philip Freeman, vice chair of Llandinam Village Hall, and the co-ordinator of the village's entry. "As many people know, Llandinam has won the Best Kept Village award a number of times, and through the Davies family have made important contributions to the life of Wales as a whole; but even more important than that for the people who live here is the vitality of the village, and this award recognises that. Unlike the Best Kept Village competition this is judged on the activity within the village, not just its looks. FOR ENQUIRIES AND BOOKINGS MIKE JONES ON 01686 688730 "While the Village Hall trustees organised the competition entry, our success was down to working together, with school, church, hall, several local businesses - including Broneirion - and the Community Council. They all got involved in making our presentation. "We have some exciting ideas in the pipeline for 2009, and this award will help us make Llandinam an even better place to live in the future."
